I'm back-ish

Wow so its been almost a year since I have blogged. I'm really not good at finding the time to do this and so much has happened in the last year. Lets see well I already posted about moving to Spain so what happened after that...oh right.

In Oct. I got married! Yay for shoot gun marriages. That's right I was prego! I'll get to that later though. Back to getting married, it sorta wasn't a big deal. Andrew and I did it by proxy seeing as how we weren't in the states and he didn't have a passport so we couldn't do it on Spanish territory. We didn't even know we were married till we got the cert. in the mail a week or two later. We talked about getting married in the states before we moved to Spain but neither one of us wanted to say we got married in NE. Sorry NE just not big corn fans. Anyway Andrew would like to have a real wedding sometime in the future but I don't mind either way. I'm just over the moon with the fact that I'm his wife. We've known each other for about 15 years. If someone would have told me I would be married to my best friend in 15 years I wouldn't believe them. I still don't know what it is he sees in me but I'm not going to jinx it.

Next thing...Andrew stayed in Spain while I came back to the states. I returned at the end of Nov. for health care. On Nov. 29th or 30th (I can't remember now) we found out the baby's sex. IT'S A BOY!!! I think I was 19 weeks along at this point, its all a blur now. Sorry.

I started seeing this amazing doctor, Dr. Seal. He listened to my son's heartbeat for like a second and said something was wrong. My world fell apart at that second. He then sent me to have an ultrasound. The ultrasound technicians took 3 hours to find what he heard in second. Its not that they weren't doing a good job he was just that good. Anyway so I became a high risk pregnancy and got to go in for ultrasounds every two weeks for the rest of my pregnancy. It was really nice being able to see my little human every two weeks. For a first time mom a million thoughts run through your mind everyday and you constantly worry "how's the baby doing?". Unfortunately my insurance wouldn't cover this doctor any longer so I had to switch. I was very luck to find Southwest Woman's Care though. They are amazing too and took really good care of me. So from Nov. to April life was just doctor visit after doctor visit and lots of shopping for the baby.

April 14th Andrew flew to AZ from Spain to be here for the birth of our son. While he was in the states he took the time to fly to NE too so he could see his first born, Wolfgang a.k.a. G-Fresh. I don't know where the nickname came from but it works. So he spent the first weekend there then returned to AZ. Day after day we waited for baby to be born but he wasn't ready I guess. On April 27th I went in for a check up and because I was 40weeks and 4days they decided it was time to go in after this little human. I was so ready to meet my son at this point and to not be pregnant anymore. So we headed home from the doctors so I could shower and grab my bags. Called the family and headed to the hospital, at this point I started freaking out and thought what the hell am I thinking. We can wait, we don't need to go in after him. Give him time, he's not ready and neither am I. However Andrew was due back in Spain in just a few short days and he was ready to meet his son. He was so good and talked me through my panic. We got to the hospital and got the show on the road. I'll blog about all that another time though(maybe, if I ever find time again. lol) I spent the night in the hospital with friends and family waiting and waiting and waiting some more. Finally on April 28th 2010 my son Wesley Dublin Peterson was born. 7lbs 10oz and 21inch long. It was the most amazing thing I've ever done or ever will do.
So now that I have a 2 month old you can see why its even less likely that I will find time to keep up with this. But fingers crossed I will.

So I suck as a blogger...

I realize I should've been blogging about all the crazy stuff that's been happening for the last month or so because now I can't remember the order of events and all the crazy details to all the stories. I promise I'm uploading photos now to my Mac and I will post a new blog soon. Most likely more than one seeing as how I have over 300 photos to upload. There will definitely be at least one post on the new casa in Spain. I have tons of pictures to share and we have lots of shopping to do in order to fill this place up. We are suppose to be at Ikea right now but I over slept and Andy is napping now so it might have to wait until tomorrow. New post soon I promise.

Finally joining the world of Bloggers

Ok ok...My sister wife/friend/blogger "Led Zeppelin Mama" a.k.a. Joey, has been telling me for years that I need to blog.  I've always felt "No one in their right mind would give a crap about what I have to say."  But that was before I went and got myself a life!

I've became a super traveler and actually have something to tell everyone about, and making 900 phone calls to fill everyone in has finally sold me on the whole blogging deal.  Let me fill you in...

So about seven months ago the man of my dreams came back into my life and offered up his heart and the chance to move to Spain with him, who wouldn't jump on that opportunity???  This chick is doing it, without a doubt!!!  We've known each other for 15 years, give or take.  We were the best of friends back in jr. high and high school, in fact he took me to his senior prom.  Awe, right?  But somehow we never managed to get the whole dating thing on the table.  Oh well... such is life.  I can say that now without batting an eye due to the fact that "I win" cause I totally have him back in my life now.

Ok enough gushing about how cute we are.  Anyway, he asked if I would join him on his adventures and of course I said yes!  There was a catch to this whole fairy tale, I had to wait 6 months for him to return from Iraq.  Ok, I can handle that, as long as he comes home.  So I take the six months to take care of my loose strings in the states and live it up a bit with my friends and family before I leave the country for a year and a half.

So the traveling beings.  I started my adventures in AZ, off to UT with Joey for a bit of a road trip.  Back to AZ to keep working for a short amount of time, then off to AK with the fam on a amazing cruise.   It was a blast, even if it was freezing.  Back to AZ to pack all of my belongings then off to NY to check in with the old high school friends.  Then about two weeks ago I headed to NE to await the return of my love.  At the end of this week we head to NY to check in with his fam then off to AZ to check in with mine one last time before leaving the country.  Oh and I have to make a pit stop in Cali to get my visa.  Then it's off to Spain!!!

I will keep you posted on the happily ever after part but I can assure you it will be!
